We celebrate Holy Communion during every Sunday during in-person worship and every Wednesday at 6:30 p.m. If you are live streaming at home on Sunday, please prepare the elements for communion at your home before worship. Simply gather some bread or crackers to be served as the body of Christ. Grape juice, wine, or water can be used for the blood of Christ. The Pastors will preside at communion. As you worship online the pastors will instruct you at the point at which you take communion so that we all commune at the same time.
First Communion
First Communion is a joyful, exciting time of each young person’s faith journey. At Advent, we invite the parents to know when it is best for their children, and we have had kids from kindergarten to fifth grade in our class.
The next First Communion class will be held on Sunday, February 1, 2026. This pastor-led class will go through the wonder of this holy sacrament, and each attendee will receive their own personal copy of Daniel Erlander’s A Place for You. This class will end with some fun in the kitchen, where students are taught how to make their own communion bread!
Then, the following week, Sunday, February 8, 2026, students will be invited to attend worship that morning and take their first communion surrounded by the support and love of Advent.
