In this stage of faith formation, we focus on students building meaningful relationships with God, peers, adult leaders and members of our communities. We build these relationships through energetic events, small group discussions, service-learning opportunities, and experiential worship.
(9th – 12th grades)
High school is a time of joyful, messy, brave identity formation. Advent high school youth practice personal, interpersonal, and systemic boundary crossing in a safe and supportive community. We explore how to lament, celebrate, dialogue, show up, listen, and build meaningful relationships as spiritual practice. We recognize God in our vulnerable neighbors, in the community garden, in worship, and inside our hearts. We grapple with big questions and unfold into the sacred interaction of God’s story, our story, and the story of our broken and beautiful world.

(5th – 8th grades)
Advent's Confirmation ministry begins in 5th grade and goes through 8th gradeWe focus on students building relationships that matter with God, peers, adult learners, and members of our communities. We build these relationships through energetic events, discussion, service-learning opportunities, and experiential worship.
Confirmation is on Wednesday Evenings, 6:30 – 7:45 pm, beginning with worship in the sanctuary. After worship, students gather in the Fellowship Hall for connection and discussion on the night's topic most Wednesday nights. The rite of Affirmation of Baptism (Confirmation) is an important time in the life of a young person, as they claim for themselves the promises made at their baptisms. Advent's Confirmation ministry begins in 5th grade, and 8th grade students can choose to Affirm their Baptism in May 2024.

From the north: South on Highway 169. Take a right on 109th Ave. Drive 1/4 mile, and take a left on Jefferson Hwy. Advent will be one the right shortly after crossing over Highway 610 (approximately two miles).
