High school is a time of joyful, messy, brave identity formation. Advent high school youth practice personal, interpersonal, and systemic boundary crossing in a safe and supportive community. We explore how to lament, celebrate, dialogue, show up, listen, and build meaningful relationships as spiritual practice. We recognize God in our vulnerable neighbors, in the community garden, in worship, and inside our hearts. We grapple with big questions and unfold into the sacred interaction of God’s story, our story, and the story of our broken and beautiful world.

Advent's Confirmation ministry begins in 6th grade this year 8th and 9th grade students can choose to Affirm their Baptism in May 2023. We focus on studetns buildilng relationships that matter with God, peers, adult leanders, and members of our communities. We build these relationships through energetic events, discussion, service-learning opportunities, and experiential worship.
Confirmation is on Wednesday evenings, 6:30 - 7:45 pm, beginning with worship in the sanctuary. After worship, students gather in the Fellowship Hall for connection and discussion on the night's topic most Wednesday evenings.
The rite of Affirmation of Baptism (Confiramtion) is an important time in the life of a young person, as they claim for themselves the promises made at their baptisms. Advent's Confirmation ministry begins in sixth grade, and this year, 8ths and 9th grade students can choose to Affirm their Baptism in May 2023.

Confirmation is In-Person only and meets 6:30 – 7:45 pm
(we begin each Wednesday evening class in worship.)
