Invitation and Intention
We invite you to pray for Advent Lutheran Church. Together in 2026, we will learn about what it means to have courage for today and hope for tomorrow. God gives us the courage to act today and the hope to invest in what is ahead for Advent and for the world. With courage, we serve. With hope, we give. We invite you to consider and pray about your role at Advent this year. How can you be courageous? How can you live in hope and not live in fear? What contributions can you make that will benefit our congregation, our synod, and the world? Each of us is an essential part of this congregation and community.
The week of Sunday, October 26 is Stewardship Week. During worship on either Sunday, October 26, or Wednesday, October 29, you will be invited to bring forward your enclosed Intent Card, offering your best gifts to God. You may also mail your Intent Card to the church office or fill out an online Intent Card.
Then, on Sunday, November 2, we will announce the current results of our “Courage for Today . . . Hope for Tomorrow,” including the number of Intent Cards received and the faithful response of the congregation. We will celebrate the results together after church in the fellowship hall with special treats. We invite you all to celebrate with us!
