cancer support
This group meets at12:00 every 2nd and 4th Tuesday of the month. The meeting is held at Advent on the 2nd Tuesday and at Perkins in Osseo on the 4th Tuesday. We encourage all who are going through cancer treatments, in remission, and those who have their faith experiences to share with the group. Gardening at Advent
Advent has several opportunities to be involved with gardening. During the growing season, color abounds and the grounds are spectacular. The entry is lined with beautiful shrubs and flowers. Large pots are planted and are at the entrances. There is a beautiful garden in the Courtyard area by a fountain, a smaller garden to the north of the Sanctuary, and also a large garden on the back side of the building.
Gardeners also plant, tend, and maintain a vegetable garden. All the produce grown is harvested and taken to CROSS, our local food shelf. We raise and donate approximately 2000 pounds of fresh vegetables every year!
